Nerena Venoaks

My name is Nerena Venoaks, I am 20 years old, and I am an aerialist with a dream of becoming a professional performer.

I have loved the art of movement from a young age. For nine years, I practiced competitieve rhythmic gymnastics before leaving the sport during the COVID-19 pandemic. After that, I discovered a new passion in pole sports, which eventually led me to aerial hoop.

But as I am growing in aerial hoop, I realize that I want to reach beyond the limits most competitions set. I want to create performances without being judged and assigned points for everything I do. I want to be able to express myself, share feelings with people, and create something that can move an audience.

Meeting amazing circus artists has strengthened this feeling. I am fascinated by the strangeness and wonder of circus, and by how impossible things can become possible. I want to keep learning, improving and exploring what I can create with my body.
